How is the rent increase calculated?
The new rent amount is the current rent multiplied by the increase rate. For example, 15,000 ₺ rent with a 25% rate becomes 18,750 ₺.
What is the legal cap on rent increases?
For residential leases the annual increase may not exceed the trailing 12-month average CPI. The CPI rent update therefore acts as a ceiling even if the contract states a higher rate.
Does the same cap apply to commercial leases?
