What is the late fee on building dues in Türkiye?
Short answer
A unit owner who does not pay their share of expenses on time owes late compensation at 5% a month for the days of delay.
Details
- It is calculated by the day: amount × 5% × days late ÷ 30.
- The law provides for late compensation, not interest.
- If the management plan sets a different rate, that rate applies.
- A tenant is also liable together with the owner for unpaid dues, limited to the amount of their rent debt.
Example
Dues of 2,000 TL paid 30 days late incur 100 TL; paid 45 days late, 150 TL.
